Arrest

[anti_kringle]

Being led away by his re-joined chains, Krampus follows Shufti and Enzo. He is surly, and still smells of damp fur and smoke.

"I have to admit, Krampus, you've achieved something unusual - you have severely pissed me off." Shufti says, pulling him along. "Getting kidnapped indeed, how embarrassing..."

[a1enzo]

"Kidnapping a pregnant woman," Enzo snarls. "What's the maximum punishment here?"

[anti_kringle]

"Mine," the Krampus grumbles. "Making a list, checking it twice."

[shufti]

"The list was wrong." Shufti says. "You can't take people."

She looks over at Enzo. "Depends. Do you think he's following his protocol?"

[a1enzo]

"I don't know. I think he thinks so. But he must be doing it wrong. You didn't do anything, did you?"

[anti_kringle]

"My job!" the Krampus says, proudly. "Catch them all!"

[shufti]

"Not here." Shufti says, leading him through to the office and its cells.

"You are under arrest for the violation of the bar rules; the first forbidding non-consensual violence, and the second for outside business. This includes the kidnap of sixteen people, at least one additional assault, and ruining Christmas."

She opens up a cell. "Two weeks?" she suggests to Enzo.

[a1enzo]

"We can't delete the key? Fine, two weeks."

[anti_kringle]

"Mine," the Krampus grumbles; but as his chains are joined now, he is powerless and subjugated and can't defend himself as he used to.

He just sticks out his tongue at them.

[shufti]

"It does not appear very bright." Shufti says.

She turns back to Krampus.

"Let me make one thing very clear." she says. "If you threaten or harm people here again, you will spend your last agonising moments remembering how lucky you were to get cell time. And furthermore, if you threaten my kids again, unborn or otherwise, I will personally see that you are turned into an unattractive rug. Do you understand?"

The Krampus shakes his horned head; smelly fur shakes from the movement.

"Made a list, checked it twice," he says. "Mine. My job."

[shufti]

With that, Shufti turns to the board and puts up a notice.

'Cell 4 - Krampus, the demon of anti-Christmas

It has been held by its own chains (by Father Christmas) which appears to render it powerless. It is not very bright and seems to have been following a list of people it got from elsewhere.

We have checked against the list we got from Father Christmas and it appears everyone has got out.

We have given it two weeks for violation of rules 1 and 2. Can we banish it when it gets out? It does not seem to understand what it did wrong.

Enzo shakes his head. "I thought Christmas was all nice stuff, and naughty kids just didn't get gifts. This is twisted."

[anti_kringle]

The Krampus just sits in his cell and looks grumpy.

[shufti]

Shufti nods.

"I think I better go get checked out." she says, looking tired now the adrenaline has worn off. "Make sure the baby's okay."

[a1enzo]

Enzo nods. "I'll help."

If it's not, they will be resentencing.

[shufti]

"Thanks Enzo."

Shufti gives Krampus a last glance before going out towards the infirmary with him.
